HATCH is extremely grateful to be supported by the Kauffman Foundation.  There are many numerous points of alignment around equity, mentorship, education, & entrepreneurship.

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation is a private, nonpartisan foundation that works together with communities in education and entrepreneurship to create uncommon solutions and empower people to shape their futures and be successful. The Kauffman Foundation is based in Kansas City, Missouri, and uses its $2 billion in assets to collaboratively help people be self-sufficient, productive citizens.

The Foundation’s entrepreneurship strategy focuses on breaking down barriers so that entrepreneurs can successfully start and grow their businesses. Five areas make up the entrepreneurship strategy: entrepreneur support organizations, policy, new entrepreneurial learning, research, and ecosystems. These five areas are essential to the Foundation’s work in supporting the makers, doers, and dreamers as they create their own economic futures. The overall goal of the education strategy is that students of all ages are prepared for learning, work, and life after graduation, enabling them to be economically independent, contributing members of their communities. We focus on five main areas in service of our strategy: postsecondary, K-12, early childhood education, teachers and leaders, and community engagement.
