This year, HATCH is proud to be partnering with the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes on a major circular economy project.  In partnership with Pyxera Global, HATCH has convened a group of subject matter experts, social sector organizations, and corporations leading zero plastic waste efforts around the world to build solutions to address plastic waste at the community level in Lake County, Montana. The multi-phased approach will also be deployed in other communities around the globe to understand, test, and scale solutions that are both highly specific to the local environment and which provide opportunities for replication in other geographies. The proposed multi-year approach has four phases: 1) Convene and Assess, 2) Design site-specific interventions, 3) Implement and Iterate, 4) Adapt and Replicate.

An alliance of 6 University presidents engaged HATCH to design, curate, and facilitate a transformational summit to lead to tangible impact. The goal was to reimagine the future of education to create more non-traditional pathways to higher education degrees for 100’s of thousands of students that might not otherwise get that chance.


In 2019, HATCH partnered with an expeditions company to convene, design, and facilitate the first Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean at one the largest plastics gyres to work on solutions related to the ocean plastics crisis.
