Collaborations started through HATCH make big waves at Toy Fair 2015
In 2013, Philip Sheppard (a renowned composer), Tanya Thompson (Head of Inventor Relations for toy company Think Fun), and Parker Thomas (an education curriculum innovator), and David Yakos (product designer and co-owner of Salient Technologies) met at HATCH. Over the next four days they connected through constructed creative exercises and fireside chats. Along the way they identified their common passion for creating new ways for children and adults alike to engage in ‘making’ and inventing; for using imagination to transform the ordinary into the incredible.
This past February those connections made at HATCH 2013 culminated in two separate games: Compose Yourself and Maker Studio. Even more impressive is the fact that both won accolades at Toy Fair 2015 .
These collaborations prove that when creative minds from around the globe come together for four days of highly curated and concentrated inspiration, great things emerge! Congratulations to Tanya, Parker, Philip and David!
