Marian Goodell

CEO of Burning Man – As Chief Executive Officer of Burning Man, Marian Goodell oversees all aspects of the 501(c)3 Burning Man Project including the subsidiary Black Rock City LLC production company for the annual Burning Man event. She is one of six founders of the initial event LLC formed in 1997. Before being named CEO in early 2014, Marian was for 15 years responsible for development of year-round operations including communications, technology, accounting, administrative processes, legal, and government affairs.  Marian helped spearhead Burning Man’s global engagement in 1997 with the launch of the Regional Network, which now includes more than 220 ambassadors in 150 locations on 6 continents supporting Burning Man cultural expansion worldwide. She is currently developing the strategic process for scaling the Burning Man Project’s work in the arts, education, civic engagement and social enterprise. Marian is also a founding board member of the Black Rock Arts Foundation and Black Rock Solar.
