Gbenga Akinnagbe 

Gbenga Akinnagbe is an actor, writer, and activist, best known for his roles as Chris Partlow on the HBO series The Wire and as Larry Brown on the HBO series The Deuce. He’s an active leader in the Black Lives Matter and racial justice movements. His many theatre credits include Aaron Sorkin’s To Kill A Mockingbird on Broadway; Film credits include All the Devil’s Men, DC Noir (also co-directed), Egg, Home, Crown Heights, Detroit, Detour, Independence Day 2, Fort Bliss, Mall, Big Words, Overnight, Lottery Ticket, Edge of Darkness, The Taking of Pelham 123, and The Savages. TV credits include The Deuce, The Following, 24: Live Another Day, The Good Wife, Law & Order: SVU, Damages, Nurse Jackie, A Gifted Man, The Wire, Conviction  and Barbershop. In 2012, Gbenga founded Liberated People, a lifestyle brand designed to inspire people to act. Using art, culture and politics, Liberated People unites global citizens through the common struggle for liberation in all its forms, both personal and political.
