An intimate luxury hideaway nestled in the hills of the colonial town of Valle de Bravo, Rodavento is located just two hours from México City. Designed to exist in harmony with its natural surroundings, Rodavento’s luxurious, cabin-like suites are tucked in the foothills of the glen, set slightly back for added privacy.

Architecturally innovative, the hotel integrates organic materials with clean lines, blending seamlessly into its immediate environment. Rodavento’s multiple dwellings all share a common, contemporary architectural language. A central area houses reception, a restaurant, activity center, pool and lakeshore terraces, which overlook a scenic pond and mountains.

A spectacular mountain backdrop frames these elegantly designed landscapes, forming an indelible setting found only in Valle de Bravo.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the housing situation like?

Participants will be sharing cabin-like suites located on the property at Rodavento. A short walk will be necessary to get to the main lodge area for workshops and meals. Some guests will be sleeping in a lofted room requiring climbing a ladder. Please let us know if you have any mobility needs (such as unable to walk distances or climb ladders) and we will do our best to accommodate you when making housing arrangments.

Is there a schedule for the week?

HATCH is a carefully crafted experience. We don’t hand out specific schedules. We invite you to surrender to the experience, and let the journey unfold before you. How often in your real world do you get to suspend the notion of time? That being said, the days do have a consistent structure of these main sections:

  • Morning Whitespace – Free time, with curated optional experiences including yoga, hikes, etc.
  • Morning Session – Interactive breakout sessions
  • Lunch
  • Afternoon Prototype Labs – Workshops to rapid prototype on real world challenges
  • Perspective Shifters – A series of short talks and presentations.
  • Afternoon Whitespace
  • Happy Hour/Dinner
  • Evening Keynotes/Presentations
  • Live Music

Is transportation provided? Even if my flight is super early/late?

We can guarantee transportation as long as you can arrive in the previously shared time frame (before 2:30pm on Monday, 2/20 and after 10:00am on Thursday, 2/24.) If you cannot fly in or out during those times, you will be responsible for the cost of your transportation but please let us know and we can help provide alternative options.

Can the hotel accommodate my dietary restrictions?

Yes. If you did not include your dietary restrictions when registering, please email cassidy@hatchexperience.org ASAP.
