HATCH Experience North America at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana
HATCH was founded in Montana, and will always proudly call Big Sky Country home for good reason.
Southwest Montana is consistently recognized as one of the best areas to live, work and play in America by magazines such as Outdoor Magazine, Business Week, USA Today, New York Times, and Forbes. Montana has also been named the #1 most entrepreneurial state by CNN’s Money Magazine, while Bozeman, home to one of HATCH’s educational partners, Montana State University, thrives on its ability to blend a lifestyle rich in culture, arts, and the great outdoors.
The base camp for HATCH Experience North America is Moonlight Basin in Big Sky. Founded on the premise of conservation, Moonlight Basin Ranch has held fast to being a good steward to the land it encompasses. The development has matured into a luxury mountain resort inclusive of a spectacular ski area, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and miles of scenic snowshoe, hiking, biking and equestrian trails. The Moonlight Lodge where we hold HATCH programming and groundbreaker performances sits in the heart of Moonlight Basin. Visit here for details on Moonlight Basin in Big Sky.
There’s more to Big Sky than endless views and wide-open skies that give this Montana town its name. Big Sky is home to the Biggest Skiing In America® and a gateway to Yellowstone National Park. The area is also a destination for some of the world’s most coveted fly-fishing and was the central location for “A River Runs Through It.”
We are honored to be building a partnership between the HATCH Network to Moonlight Basin and the Big Sky community. As a partner in HATCH North America, Big Sky’s Lone Peak High and Ophir Middle Schools are host to HATCH Edu prototype programs, like the HATCH Ostinato Project, Storyteller’s Workshop, and The Inventor’s Lab, made possible, in part with the generous support of the Moonlight Community Foundation.
