ZERO PLASTIC WASTE COMMUNITIES
This year, HATCH is proud to be partnering with the Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes on a major circular economy project. In partnership with Pyxera Global, HATCH has convened a group of subject matter experts, social sector organizations, and corporations leading zero plastic waste efforts around the world to build solutions to address plastic waste at the community level in Lake County, Montana. The multi-phased approach will also be deployed in other communities around the globe to understand, test, and scale solutions that are both highly specific to the local environment and which provide opportunities for replication in other geographies. The proposed multi-year approach has four phases: 1) Convene and Assess, 2) Design site-specific interventions, 3) Implement and Iterate, 4) Adapt and Replicate.

REP4 FUTURE OF LEARNING LAB
An alliance of 6 University presidents engaged HATCH to design, curate, and facilitate a transformational summit to lead to tangible impact. The goal was to reimagine the future of education to create more non-traditional pathways to higher education degrees for 100’s of thousands of students that might not otherwise get that chance.
OCEAN PLASTICS LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
In 2019, HATCH partnered with an expeditions company to convene, design, and facilitate the first Ocean Plastics Leadership Summit on a boat in the Atlantic Ocean at one the largest plastics gyres to work on solutions related to the ocean plastics crisis.

The HATCH program brought a philosophy and process that allowed us to understand and unlock our inner superheroes, encourage us to look left, right. below and above…to learn from other internally, and most importantly, seek those with completely different lenses perspectives and ideas.

The challenge that intel tasked HATCH Labs was a complex one. In response, HATCH founder, Yarrow Kraner, curated an all-star team of unexpected and diverse expertise, who brought their unique perspectives to the table and pushed the boundaries of the breakthoughs we sought.
Intel’s HATCH Lab did not dissapoint, and the comprehensive outcomes report contained crucial insights and numerous pivotal strategies, and is still guiding many of our product decisions today. Additionally, the process and rapid ideation catalyzed our team to cross-pollintae in a way that has had long term benefits.
