Heather Cahoon

Heather is an award-winning poet, painter and policy scholar. She holds an MFA in Poetry and an interdisciplinary PhD in history, anthropology and Native American Studies. Heather works with tribal leaders, educators, youth and policymakers to find solutions to issues facing American Indians in the state of Montana. She is from the Flathead Reservation in western Montana and is a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes.
