Alex has spent more than a quarter century in various aspects of conservation work across the United States. He is currently the Executive Director of Sycamore Land Trust in Bloomington, Indiana. Prior to Sycamore, he served as the Chief of Resource Stewardship & Science at Carlsbad Caverns National Park in southern New Mexico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Prior to service with NPS, Alex was a public land manager with the U.S. Forest Service, most recently serving as the District Ranger of the million acre Yellowstone Ranger District of the Custer Gallatin National Forest. In 2018, the Cinnabar Foundation awarded Alex the Jim Posewitz professional conservationist award for contributions to Montana and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. Alex holds degrees in history, public administration, forestry, and law. He enjoys all manner of outdoor adventure.
Hello! My name is Alicia, and I’m currently a student at McGill's Desautels Faculty of Management, majoring in Managing for Sustainability. As a Climate Action Leadership Diploma (CALD) graduate from UWC Pearson College, I aspire to tackle social and environmental issues, spark direct action and scale communities that drive positive impact. I am curious about understanding the root causes and intersections of systemic issues to implement holistic solutions that bridge industries, governments and civil society for a sustainable, aware and empathetic future. As a recent graduate from the CLI Conservatory, I also love using storytelling through dance and choreography to sensitize others to social and environmental issues.

Betsy Hodges was the 47th mayor of Minneapolis. Mayor Hodges currently serves as an advisor to cities, mayors, and the non-profit and private sectors about how to support progressive policy and improve equitable outcomes for Black, Indigenous, and people of color. She is a Senior Fellow with the Atlantic Fellowship for Racial Equity (AFRE), Rodel Fellowship, and the Othering and Belonging Institute at the University of California-Berkeley and was a Residential Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics. She is a Senior Advisor to the Mayors Innovation Project; on the Board of Directors for the National Black MBA Association and the Center for Good Food Purchasing; on the Elders Council for Race Forward; and on the Board of Advisors for the African American Mayors Association, the MIT Policy Review Journal, and the Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music. Born and raised in the suburban Midwest, I was taught to value family, community, curiosity, humility, and service. After a circuitous path through theater, carpentry, and teaching, I found my way to medical school at the age of 30. Upon graduation, I entered Family Medicine. Working for a federally qualified health center gives me a front row seat to the critical importance of ensuring that every person has the opportunity to flourish. This is what fuels my current work - building systems that demonstrate empiric societal and financial benefits of flourishing.

I am currently the Head of Public Purpose Pathways at Rising Generation Collective. In this role, I work to create pathways that inspire and enable rising leaders of all backgrounds to choose public purpose work as their first job out of college. My name is Courtney Osterfelt, I am the director and founder of The Launch Pad Teen Center. I've been working with teens since 2003. I founded Women’s Empowerment Breakthrough, a non-profit educational organization for teenage girls in Yavapai County in 2003 and started working on developing The Launch Pad in 2011. I believe teens are powerful people who are often overlooked in our communities. I am a recent graduate of the McLean/Harvard Medical School post-baccalaureate program for children and adolescents, where I spent my first year at the Child Partial-Hospital program and second year at The OCD Institute for Children and Adolescents. Prior to this fellowship, I attended Hobart & William Smith Colleges. I graduated in May of 2024, Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Kum Laude with a double major in Psychology and Religious Studies, and a double minor in Education and English. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I was given the chance to speak at the 2023 International Peace Research Association Conference in Trinidad & Tobago on representative storytelling as a pathway to peacebuilding. I also worked to create a supportive community for disabled and neurodiverse students on campus through creating a club and working as the student liaison for the Center for Teaching and Learning. I believe that inclusivity, accessibility, and effective psychological support are fundamental to building toward a more peaceful society.

Gabriel Garcia serves as the Policy & Advocacy Director for Youth Alive, a community-based organization in Oakland, California focused on preventing and helping people heal from violence. His work improving California’s ability to heal trauma survivors and treat violence like a public health crisis is centered around the experience of the youth and clients he trains and supports to engage in policy advocacy.
Gaelin is a marine scientist, explorer, photographer, filmmaker & author. Her career started conducting groundbreaking research in Antarctica & continued at Duke University where she earned her Master’s Degree researching Giant Bluefin Tunas. Alarmed by the changes happening in the oceans, Gaelin founded Global Ocean Exploration Inc to share her passion for ocean exploration, marine conservation & storytelling. I am a dedicated member, student, and facilitator of the IRESOI Institute — a school focused on personal and interpersonal development, and methods for improving how people relate in pairs, small groups, and larger collectives. Before this, I founded, curated, and organized multiple TEDxMontrealWomen and TEDxYouth@Montreal events. My background also includes working as a portfolio manager for Quebec’s pension fund and as a sell-side analyst for one of Canada’s primary investment banks. I hold a B.Math, MBA, and CFA.
Dr. Gregory Kerr is an anesthesiologist with subspecialty training in critical care medicine and cardiac anesthesia. He was on the faculty of Weill Medical College for over 25 and served as the first Medical Director of Critical Care Services at New York Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center. He received his A. B. from Bowdoin College and M.D. at New York University School of Medicine. He did his anesthesia residency at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, critical care and cardiac anesthesia fellowships at Emory Hospital and received his M.B.A. from Columbia University School of Business. His training helped him build an academic career focused on healthcare inequalities and ways to engage housestaff on patient care issues. While at NYPH he created the Housestaff Quality Council which won the Joint Commission’s John Eisenberg Award for Patient Safety and Quality as well as the ACGME David C. Leach Award for Excellence in Improving Communication & Collaboration in Education & Patient Care. In fact, his focus on education has helped him win the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Preceptor of the Year Award and Recognition for Outstanding Contribution in Education from the Metropolitan Hospital Department of Anesthesia. Dr. Kerr is involved in many national professional organizations, has had leadership roles in the Society of Critical Care Medicine and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) and recently served his last week as an American Board of Anesthesiology Oral Board Examiner. Having served as a trustee of Bowdoin College (now trustee emeritus), director of the board of buildOn and trustee of Children’s Aid (formerly known as Children’s Aid Society).

Beats By JT is a Virginia Beach–born music producer, finger drummer, and viral creator with 50M+ views across platforms. His accolades include making history as the first finger drummer and first Virginia music producer to perform on On The Radar, appearances on FOX 5 New York and WBTV, a workshop at J. Cole’s Dreamville Festival, and recognition by the Virginia House of Delegates for his community impact. Jamon joined WMCAT in 2015 and now leads the organization as president + CEO, advancing its mission to provide equitable access to opportunity. I have been a Commercial Designer/Contractor, a CFP and in my 60s received a Masters in Spiritual Formation from Garrett Seminary, Evanston, Ill. I am now an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church, a spiritual director and in 2013 my ministry work became directing the Ross Lynn Charitable Foundation. As a family we formed the Foundation in memory of (my son) Ross offering programs and opportunities for transforming experiences in areas that reflect who Ross was…Art and Culture, Getting Outdoors, & Health and Wellness. My husband and I reside in Prescott, Az near our grandchildren.

As an entrepreneur, singer/songwriter, and musician, I’ve organized several impact-focused community events during my time as creative director for Backspinz Music Academy. Backspinz is Rapsnacks' flagship music program. My focus is on creating a safe and healthy environment for kids with an interest in music to grow and become. Jeanine M. Canty, PhD, is a professor of transformative studies at CIIS in San Francisco, telecommuting from Boulder, CO. A lover of nature, justice, and contemplative practice, her teaching intersects issues of social and ecological justice, ecopsychology, and the process of worldview expansion and change. Her most recent book is Returning the Self to Nature: Undoing our Collective Narcissism and Healing our Planet (Shambhala Publications 2022) and she is currently working on the 2nd edition of the edited collection Ecological and Social Healing: Multicultural Women's Voices (Routledge 2025).
I've spent my entire career working in social justice and social change organizations focused on building a just, equitable, resilient world where all of us can participate and prosper. My journey has gone from community organizing to construction management to affordable housing development to mission-focused commercial real estate development, and for the last 12 years, to equitable food systems. I am a cofounder and CEO of CommonWealth Kitchen in Boston, a nonprofit social enterprise that is leveraging the power of inclusive entrepreneurship to build a just, equitable, sustainable food economy. Our core programs include operating a shared-use commercial kitchen, business education and technical training programming, market development and procurement advocacy, and running our own food manufacturing social enterprise. This vertically-integrated approach is leading a vision for what an resilient regional food economy led by the people who grow, harvest, cook, process, and distribute our food, can look like.

Murphy Aucamp is a world-class percussionist, drummer and international touring musician. Ruby Jenni, now 22, is a dancer, choreographer, writer, and performer who grew up in Missoula, MT, training in various artistic movement styles. Starting at the age of ten, she has traveled and lived internationally, joyfully participating as a student, performer, and creator in artistic cultural events across much of Europe, as well as China, Russia, Pakistan, the U.S., and the UAE. Ruby currently speaks three languages and is an enthusiastic learner of dance, language, history, and art.
