Music education in underserved schools is chronically underfunded, understaffed, and disconnected from the professional world of music creation. Students rarely experience the possibility of making real, fully realized music.
The HATCH Ostinato Project matches professional composers and industry musicians with schools to collaborate directly with students on original music creation. Fifty percent of all revenue flows directly back to the originating school's music program.
Outcomes
The program produced measurable changes in student engagement and confidence from its earliest deployments. One parent, two weeks after launch: "My kid came home from school talking about music every day. He's never talked about music class before. Not even close."
