Most DEI efforts focus on individual organizations in isolation. META took a different approach — building a community-scale accountability infrastructure.
The model works through a badge and association system: citizens form coalitions to appeal to town governments, which then apply for META's community equity badge with support from DEI professionals.
Outcomes
The team designed a full operational model — badge certification, professional association, community coalition framework, and personalized accountability metrics — presenting to judges from SAP, Steelcase, Ernst & Young, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
